Knights in Dirty
Armour is a shocking current
event story of how
the accidental death of a
two-year
old child became
a headline murder case which
ended with
the wrongful conviction and imprisonment
of two
innocent parents.
The
alarming shock value of this story does not
derive from
just a simple wrongful conviction. Knights
in Dirty
Armour exposes the powerful people involved
who
intentionally pursued the wrongful conviction
even after
learning that the Probable Cause Affadavit
(required
for an arrest) had been perjured and that no
crime had
been committed.
The
title “Knights in Dirty Armour” appropriately fits
as the
injustice was inflicted to John and Marie Schoonover with intention
(knowingly and maliciously) by those appearing as “Knights” to
serve and protect.
With the help
of the media, these Knights created an exciting public circus
event out of the accidental death of little Benjamin Michael
Schoonover with completely false
accusations and bizarre reports that went as far as to
allege a fatal
beating with a baseball bat and torture with a pitchfork.
The media had
publicly lynched the Schoonovers. The public was
outraged. While all
along, the evidence showed no visible signs of injury, no bruises,
no scratches, no signs whatsoever of any foul
play.
Little Benjamin had died from receiving a half inch
(12mm) hairline occipital fracture caused from a backward fall off
a piano bench onto a porcelain concrete floor. Because there was no
visible sign of injury the Schoonovers, as well as the admitting
doctor, assumed Ben was having a seizure.
The circus continued.
The media set the stage for these Knights to soak in glory
in the spotlight.
Similar to firemen who intentionally set fires to conquer
for glory, these Knights enjoyed the political spotlight of the
circus and chose to continue the circus even after discovery that
the Probable Cause Affadavit had been perjured. There was no legal reason
to arrest anyone as there was no
crime.
The Prosecutor
and the Judges (Terry McBride and Dynda Post) chose to prosecute
without cause just to “save face” with the public after having
created the false alarm of a vicious child abuse murder
case. In the eyes
of these Knights it was too late to admit such a flagrant
mistake. Too much
glory and excitement had been generated from newspaper and T.V.
reporting. It would
have been too politically embarrassing for these Knights to
endure. Not to
mention the risk of political ruin.
The circus had
to go on. A
conviction was essential at all costs. Of no consequence to these
Knights was the expenditure of two innocent lives into a prison
for life.
Knights in
Dirty Armour is composed of actual facts of court record that show
the reader just how these Knights kept the truth hidden from the
jury and to what extreme measures were taken to do so. Word manipulation, deceit
and even the suppression of physical evidence are just a few of
their methods used. Knights in Dirty Armour also shows the reader
how the Prosecutor created an imaginary time delay in the
Schoonovers’ emergency 19 mile trip with Benjamin to the hospital
and convinced the jury of such despite telephone and hospital
records that prove otherwise.
This story is not yet ended. Gilda Marie Schoonover is
still wrongfully imprisoned by the State of Oklahoma
while her husband John is making every effort to expose this truth
to the public nationwide…at the genuine risk of losing his very
life to a vengeful Knight.
A very dark and evil
mystery within this story further depicts the extreme measures
used to insure the conviction. Although Ben’s hairline
occipital fracture was confirmed by several physicians and a
radiologist as being only one half inch (12mm) in size, the
fracture was somehow enlarged four times its original size (two
inch, 44mm)and moved to the “top of his head”
prior to autopsy.
This new fracture could have only occurred after Benjamin’s death and
before the Medical Examiner took custody of the body.
A
chronological analysis of events will shock the reader with the
obvious yet unprovable evil one. The Prosecutor now had a
two inch [44mm] fracture to feed the jury despite its untruthful
reality. It is in the
autopsy report therefore permissible to use as fact in spite of
defense objections and testimonies of all physicians
involved.
