LICENSE TO HURT

The Oklahoman’s Nolan Lay and Randy Ellis reported Sunday that Paul Stephen Hull pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting one of Hull’s foster sons.    A report shows DHS workers knew about problems at Hull’s home but didn’t remove the man’s foster parent status.  …Federal funds paid for the DHS bonuses.  State funds paid for Hull to keep his victim under his care.

I have no way of knowing, Elan, whether or not you are being molested in any way.  As for physical abuse, Mikah McCray knows of the facial bruising as she watched me take the photographs of them.  I asked about them but received no response.  Not even a flimsy explanation.  After viewing them as published on the web I note that they don’t show all that much.  Therefore I will have kept for you the originals that are clear evidence you have been subjected to an ‘unknown’ force of violence while under the jurisdiction of DHS’s Mikah McCray.

The most recent photograph, taken April 25th, shows no fresh bruising.  Perhaps the most recent foster parent change remedied the problem. I was able to get a hint of a smile from you when I laid on the floor and held you over my head for the photo.  You still have the “clinched fist” symptom.  You cannot be the happy baby you were with me when you are confined to strangers that do what they do for money and are told “Don’t get attached.”

Judge, please let me restore Elan’s demeanor and security as it was.  Let me restore

his natural smile.  You can give him back.

I visited you today, Elan, as it is our scheduled one hour weakly quality time together…under the watchful eyes of Mikah McCray and her boss, A. J. Campbell in their ‘jail cell’ setting.

I was happy to see that there were no new healing bruises such as I photographed the 4th and 18th of this month.  Perhaps this means you were removed from the violence that caused the bruises.  Where they were located on your temples certainly is consistent with Child Abuse.

I hope to see no more inflicted bruises on you in the future.

I was searched, as usual, upon entry into the building, by a police officer that made the trip from the police station solely for that purpose.  A.J. Campbell was present and I asked him who it was that was afraid of me; he stated it was himself.

“You’re twice my size and half my age; you’re afraid of a 70 year old chronic care heart patient!” and shook my head in mockery at the ‘joke’ that really isn’t all that funny.  Perhaps he feels his paranoia is justified…typical of those who are in the wrong and know it.  He may have read Dian Fossey’s statement in her book “Gorillas In The Mist” that “the most dangerous place in the world is between a mother and her baby” with the cognition that I am not only your father, but your mother as well.  Ripe conditions for the infection of paranoia to develop in your captors.

I am still not allowed to bring you any fresh fruit to snack on; the wants of your paid foster wardens take priority over a father feeding his only child.

When I photographed you above my head A. J. Campbell said what I was doing was going to give him a heart attack.  I asked him what harm could come of what I was doing?

He told me of a grandfather he knew who was doing what I was doing, with his grandson, and the child hit his head on a ceiling fan and caused a loss of balance and the child fell to the floor and died.

I have compassion for the grandfather and other surviving members as they all are suffering the loss.  I know the loss they are suffering because I have lost three.

I cannot, my son, raise you in a bubble but I can and will do what I can to prevent such stupid accidents from happening to you…and I wondered why the grandfather was not charged with any crime because of the fatal accident.  Perhaps it is because he is a friend of Mr. Campbell?

I wonder, too, if the grandchild had not died but was only injured, would Mikah McCray been sanctioned by Mr. Campbell to take the child away from his home?

I asked straight forward “What will it take for you to realize the mistake you have made by stealing my son for five months now over such a minor accidental injury that was unforeseeable and would never happen again that had healed completely in less than five days?  How much longer are you going to perpetuate this charade?”

Dead silence.  Mikah McCray did later answer that the next court date is in July.  Two months away.  You will be over a year old.

There is no fan, by the way, ceiling or otherwise, in the tiny "visiting cell."  It gets quite hot.

I met a little old man while I was in prison before the Court of Criminal Appeals reversed my conviction and ordered me released.  His name is, or was, as he may be dead by now, Leroy Hayes.  He comes up for parole when he is about 150 years old.  He bought and sold children.  Bought them from various sources in other countries and brought them into the States for sale to the highest bidder.  They were all orphans.  Leroy did not take the children he bought from living parents.  There were no parents left behind to suffer.  Leroy also played no part in the deaths of the parents.  He was not a DHS worker like Mikah McCray.  He did not have a license and protection from immunity like Mikah McCray.  From my point of view, that is the only difference I see;  he did not make a single parent suffer because they were already dead.  That would have made him even worse than what he was.  I know, because I am still alive.  I think Leroy got a rather harsh sentence considering the fact that  unlike DHS’ Mikah McCray he did not set out to torment and destroy a single family.
