More
children are killed from accidental falls than by automobile
accidents and all other accidental causes combined. Ten times that are killed;
murdered by drunken parents, alcoholic boyfriends, parents on drugs,
immature anger, temper, beatings, shaking to death in predominantly
financially insecure and unstable
environments.
A study of
fifty affirmed, inflicted injury deaths, revealed that every single
one had injuries from visceral injuries, broken arms, broken legs,
broken collarbones, cervical injuries, broken jaws, ruptured
eardrums, and severe bruising of the arms, legs, neck and torso from
the violent grasping associated with the affliction of these fatal
injuries.
Our
Benjamin had none of these.
No cervical injury, no visceral injuries, no broken bones,
no old injuries, no healed fractures, no old or new bruising to
even hint at any possibility of child abuse.
Five of
the sixteen foster children John Schoonover had Cared for in Idaho
had been victims and were survivors of physical child abuse. From being beaten and left
in the trunk of a car in tavern parking lots, to the beating so
extensive of two-year-old Rockland Barney that had left him with
broken teeth and though he had no other freshly broken bones,
there were a multitude of cigarette burns (even in his
mouth). There was not
a single area of his little body that was not burned or
bruised. A once
active two-year-old had been rendered a mute
quadriplegic.
Of these
five physically abused children that John had in his care as a
state-licensed foster parent, not one was absent bruising and/or
permanent scars from physical beatings with belt buckles to cattle
quirts.
Charles
Ramsey “discovered” this facet of John’s life in Idaho as a
licensed foster parent and officials released a laconic version of
“this discovery” to the press:
“John Schoonover Had
Physically Abused Foster Children in
Idaho.”

The statement is
true, but by deliberately omitting the number he had cared for
(John Schoonover had Five Physically Abused Foster Children in
Idaho), who will recognize the ambiguity in this dually
interpretable statement and comprehend the single truth from the
published headlines?
John
Schoonover was publicly lynched before the trial ever began, by
Charles Ramsey’s henchman, Dan Anderson of the Pryor Daily
Times.
